The Childrens Practice is a paediatric outpatient clinic based in South County Dublin staffed by Consultant Paediatricians with up to 40 years clinical experience. We provide a full paediatric, baby & child health medical service for children from birth to 14yrs.
We perform all routine neonatal and childhood medical and developmental check ups (including newborn hearing tests). It is recommended that there are 2-3 check-ups in the first 12 weeks of life, then twice yearly until primary school and annually until 14 years of age.
We are available to see your child for acute and chronic medical problems.
You do not need a referral letter from your GP to be seen in the clinic. We will keep your GP informed of any changes in your child’s condition or treatment. However, we are happy to see all GP and Public Health Nurse referrals.
We also provide weekly follow up clinics for patients of the VHI Swiftcare in Balally.
We work closely with pediatric nurse colleagues, support our public health nurse colleagues, and other specialists such as children’s dentists, child mental health specialists, cardiologists, etc
